About this event
The Marrakech Short Film Festival returns for its sixth edition from Friday 25 to Wednesday 30 September 2026. The official site and ANSA Med both date the week to those six days. Organisers say more than 400 shorts arrived from over 90 countries. Malta is the Country of Honour, with nine Maltese films in fiction, animation and documentary.
Opening night is 25 September at Palais El Badi. Closing and awards return there on 30 September. Official open-air screenings run 26–29 September at 19:00 in Cyber Parc Moulay Abdessalam. Those park nights need a Friends, Apprentice, Neighbours or VIP accreditation. Documentary programme Bridges of Reality is at the Institut français, free subject to seats. The Low Budget Film Program is at the Meydene Auditorium, also free subject to seats. Industry talks under the AMANAR banner sit at The Folk on 27–28 September, 10:00–16:00.
2026 accreditation prices on the official Join Us page are Apprentice 50 DH with student ID, Friends 200 DH, Neighbours 400 DH for culture professionals, and VIP 600 DH. Tickets are listed on iticket.ma. An older pass block still visible lower on the same page uses 2025-style dates. Trust the 2026 block at the top of the page and the iTicket listing if the two disagree.

Tips & practical info
Buy on iticket.ma or through the festival Join Us page. Do not use the leftover 2025 date block lower on that page.
Cyber Parc nights need a pass. Institut français and Meydene programmes are listed as free, subject to seats.
Opening and closing at El Badi Palace sit in the medina. Wear decent shoes for gravel and uneven paving after dark.
Student Apprentice passes need a valid student ID at the door.
