Getting to Marrakesh

Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK) is the main international gateway, located just 6 km southwest of the city center. It handles over 6 million passengers annually with flights from major European cities, the Middle East, and domestic destinations.

Airlines serving Marrakesh include Royal Air Maroc, Ryanair, EasyJet, Air France, Lufthansa, and many others. Flight time from London is approximately 3.5 hours, from Paris about 3 hours.

By Train

Marrakesh Railway Station is the southern terminus of Morocco's high-speed rail network. The Al Boraq train connects Marrakesh to Casablanca in just 2h 20m, and to Tangier in 5 hours.

Regular trains also connect to Rabat, Fes, and other cities. The station is modern and well-equipped, located on Avenue Hassan II near the city center.

By Bus

CTM Bus Station and Supratours offer comfortable coach services to Casablanca, Agadir, Essaouira, Rabat, Fes, and other destinations. Buses are air-conditioned and reliable.

By Car

Marrakesh is accessible via the A3 motorway from Casablanca (240 km, ~2.5 hours) and the N9 road from Ouarzazate and the south. Car rental is available at the airport and city center.

Getting Around the City

Once in Marrakesh, you can get around by petit taxi (metered, max 3 passengers), grand taxi (shared Mercedes for longer distances), bus, or the modern tram system. The medina is best explored on foot.
