Marrakech Folklore Days 2026

The eighth Marrakech Folklore Days open on Thursday 22 October 2026. The French homepage of marrakechfolkloredays.com, the 2026 poster, and the Visit Marrakech CRT listing all print Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 October. The countdown on that homepage is set to 22 October at 14:00. Use that window for travel. Do not assume a full Sunday show yet.

The useful page now is the official PROGRAM grid. It currently lists Thursday 22, Friday 23 and Saturday 24, under the header Land of Peace and Unity, and it stops Saturday night with a closing concert. e-taqafa, on 25 September 2026, still wrote 22 to 24 October. Premium Travel News, on 9 October, repeated 22 to 25 and named 24 countries. If you only have Sunday 25, check the PROGRAM page the week of the festival before you fly in for a slot that is not posted.

APF, the Association du Patrimoine et du Folklore, founded in June 2017, runs the festival. Youssef Hassani is president. The poster also carries the Commune de Marrakech and the Ministère de la Jeunesse, de la Culture et de la Communication. e-taqafa and Premium Travel News add M Avenue as a partner. Those same pieces put more than 640 Moroccan and international artists in the city. Last year's CRT day-by-day is not this year's plan. Bahia Palace is on Thursday's guided tour. It is not an evening stage on the 2026 grid.

Four places matter on the posted days. M Avenue, 2 Avenue de la Ménara in Hivernage, holds the evening folk stages and Friday's grand parade. Jemaa el-Fna is Saturday's Medina parade, 15:00 to 16:30, through the square, the souks and the lanes. The Maroc Heritage Cultural Centre takes the press conference, the Moroccan Jewish culture gathering, and two masterclasses. A second outdoor stage sits opposite City Hall on Friday and on City Hall Square on Saturday. Thursday morning is a guided walk through the Medina, Bahia Palace, El Badi, Ben Youssef Madrasa and galleries, 09:00 to 14:00.

Thursday night at M Avenue runs 17:00 to 22:00. It opens with Aïssaoua de Meknès, then troupes from Andorra, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The Jewish-culture session is earlier the same afternoon, 14:30 to 16:00 at the cultural centre, titled From the Roots of History to the Bridges of the Future. Moroccan Jewish Culture, a Living Heritage and a Shared Memory. That is the meeting e-taqafa flagged in September. The press conference is 10:30 to 14:30, same building.

Friday 23 October is the M Avenue day. Lithuania masterclass 11:00 to 12:00. Certificates and awards 14:30 to 15:30, with the ministry, the city, M Avenue and the troupes. The Grand International Parade is 16:00 to 17:30 on the avenue. Premium Travel News printed the same hours. Then two stages from 18:00: M Avenue (UM6P Choir, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Italy, Congo, Flamenca Gitana, Houara of Amzmiz) and the City Hall stage (Germany, Italy, Estonia, Poland, Austria, Spain, Greece, Lebanon, then Afrika Tambours from Mali, Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire). If you want the street parade in the Medina, that is Saturday, not Friday.

Saturday 24 October. Poland masterclass 11:30 to 12:30. The Medina parade on Jemaa el-Fna 15:00 to 16:30. M Avenue again 17:00 to 22:00, including Ahwash from Imin Tanout and Amazigh women's Ahwash. City Hall Square from 16:00, with the closing concert at 21:00 named as Othmane Hmiti. Ticket prices are still not on the official site as of 11 October 2026. Jemaa is a public square. M Avenue is a private avenue. Shops there run 10:00 to 21:00, restaurants later, parking 460 spaces at 5 DH for the first hour. Walk to Jemaa from the Koutoubia gardens. Transit. Petit taxi to M Avenue or walk from Palais des Congrès. Jemaa on foot from Koutoubia. Marrakech train station about 8 minutes by car from M Avenue. Menara airport about 15 minutes.

Parking. M Avenue 460 spaces, 5 DH first hour. Accessible bays by each entrance.

La huitième édition des Marrakech Folklore Days est annoncée du jeudi 22 au dimanche 25 octobre 2026 sur l'accueil français, l'affiche et la fiche CRT Visit Marrakech. Le compte à rebours pointe le 22 octobre à 14h00. La page PROGRAM ne détaille pour l'instant que le jeudi, le vendredi et le samedi, jusqu'au concert de clôture. e-taqafa, le 25 septembre, s'arrêtait au 24. Premium Travel News, le 9 octobre, reprend le 22 au 25, plus de 640 artistes, 24 pays, thème Terre de paix et d'unité. Je m'aligne sur l'accueil pour les dates, et je ne fabrique pas de grilles le dimanche.
