When to visit Marrakesh: month-by-month weather guide, crowd levels, and seasonal events.

Best Time to Visit Marrakesh

Spring (March to May) - Best Overall

Spring is the best time to visit Marrakesh. Temperatures are pleasant (20-28°C), flowers bloom in the gardens, and the Atlas Mountains still have snow caps. Perfect for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

  • March: 15-22°C, occasional rain, almond blossoms
  • April: 18-25°C, ideal weather, roses in bloom
  • May: 20-28°C, warming up, perfect for all activities

Fall (September to November) - Second Best

Fall offers similar weather to spring but with fewer crowds. September can still be hot, but October and November are ideal.

  • September: 25-32°C, still hot, thinning crowds
  • October: 20-28°C, perfect weather, harvest season
  • November: 15-22°C, cooler, possible rain

Winter (December to February)

Winter is the low season with cooler temperatures (10-18°C) and occasional rain. Great for budget travelers and those who prefer fewer crowds. Evenings can be cold.

  • December: 10-18°C, festive atmosphere, cold evenings
  • January: 8-16°C, coldest month, snow on Atlas Mountains
  • February: 10-18°C, warming up, almond blossoms
